9/14/01 Trenton Times: Two
weeks ago, Shuttle America officials were ebullient about their airline's
prospects, announcing that a Connecticut investment firm had been found that
would lead the airline out of Chapter 11 bankruptcy. Yesterday, however, the
nation's uncertainty about air travel in the wake of Tuesday's terrorist
attacks left company spokesman Mark Cestari unable to guarantee the 3-year-old
airline's survival.

America: A Connecticut
investment firm, Wexford Capital
LLC, is proposing to buy Shuttle America out
of bankruptcy, and keep the carrier flying out of Hanscom Field under a
reorganization plan filed yesterday. The federal bankruptcy court subsequently
approved sublease agreements for
two turbo-prop planes, which the carrier has said it will use to reinstate
more flights out of Bedford's Hanscom Field.

flight from LaGuardia had trouble opening its landing gear. It had to be
diverted to Logan. En route, the pilot eventually got the nose wheel to
deploy.

a large group of protesters, Shuttle America began flights between Hanscom and

appeal of the FAA's decision in federal court.
