Hanscom News: Massport Pushes Regional Airport Use
  • 4/16/04 Worcester Telegram & Gazette: Massport has agreed to extend its operation of Worcester Regional Airport for another three years, allowing completion of a master plan and a study under way by the FAA.

  • 11/3/03 Globe: Worcester leaders hope for a renewed commitment from Massport to run Worcester Regional Airport, which has struggled since Sept. 11, 2001.

  • 1/22/03 Worcester Telegram & Gazette, Globe, Globe: US Airways will end service to Worcester Regional Airport on Feb. 8, which will leave the beleaguered airport with no commercial flights.

  • 8/2/02 Worcester Telegram & Gazette: American Eagle reported yesterday that it would end flights to Worcester Regional Airport on Sept. 4, concluding months of struggle to boost travel on the Worcester-Chicago route.

  • 4/18/02 Herald: Massport is suddenly looking for ways to disentangle itself from troubled Worcester Regional Airport, a move that could hamper regionalization efforts and put a greater strain on both Logan International Airport and Hanscom Field in Bedford.

  • 8/22/01 Massport: The Airport Citizens Advisory Committee at Worcester Regional Airport voted 10-4 last week to recommend construction of a roadway to improve access to the underutilized facility.
