Warning on Hanscom
Opponents of commercial airline operations at Hanscom Field have called on
Federal Aviation Administration head Jane Garvey to review potential harm to
historic sites in the area before fulfilling the request of either Midway
Airlines or Pan Am affiliate Boston-Maine Airways to fly out of the suburban
airport. Activist groups have also warned the two airlines that any Hanscom
flights will be met with ``vociferous protests and redoubled picketing
efforts.''
