Shuttle America to Become a US Airways Express Carrier, Will Serve
Additional Massachusetts and New Jersey Airports

ARLINGTON, Va., Oct. 9 /PRNewswire/ -- Shuttle America, Inc., will become
a US Airways Express carrier, beginning Oct. 24, 2001, offering nonstop
service between Boston's Hanscom Airfield in Bedford, Mass., and
Philadelphia and Trenton, N. J., US Airways announced today.

Shuttle America, which is headquartered in Windsor Locks, Conn., will
operate six nonstop roundtrip flights each business day between Hanscom
Field and Trenton/Mercer Airport, and five roundtrip flights each business day
between Hanscom Field and Philadelphia. Shuttle America currently operates
daily service between Bedford and Trenton.

enhanced levels of service to customers in areas northwest of Boston, with
direct links and convenient connections to US Airways' hundreds of flights
at Philadelphia International Airport, in addition to direct service to
Trenton. As a result, customers will have better access to destinations in the U.S.,

Tickets issued by Shuttle America for flights after Oct. 23, 2001, will be
valid for travel on the new US Airways Express flights.

Shuttle America will operate 37-seat DeHavilland Dash-8 turboprop aircraft
on these routes, offering a comfortable cabin with ample overhead storage,
restroom and in-flight services provided by a flight attendant.

With Shuttle America, the US Airways Express network will consist of 10
regional airlines operating nearly 2,500 daily flights as an integral part
of the US Airways route system. Members of US Airways Dividend Miles program
earn miles on all US Airways Express flights.

US Airways, the US Airways Express carriers, and US Airways Shuttle
currently fly to 203 destinations worldwide, including 38 states in the
U.S., Aruba, Bermuda, Cancun, Grand Cayman, Montego Bay, Nassau, San Juan, Santo
Domingo, St. Thomas, St. Maarten, St. Croix, and the Canadian destinations
of Toronto, Montreal, and Ottawa.
