Shuttle America stops Service between Bedford and New Jersey

US Airways Express carrier Shuttle America is discontinuing its service between Bedford, Mass., and Trenton N.J., the company announced, citing increased competition, weak market conditions and rising fuel prices.

"The market has not performed to our expectations, and its removal will allow us to better support our partners' operations," Scott L. Durgin, president of Shuttle America, said in a statement. "The decision to terminate service between Bedford and Trenton was made to allow our airline to deploy the aircraft in better-performing markets."

The service is ending June 11. Passengers with reservations on Shuttle America flights between the two airports will be reaccommodated on other US Airways flights to alternate airports or will be offered refunds. Customers booked on these flights after June 11 should contact US Airways Reservations at (800) 428-4322 to make changes to their travel plans.
