Linear Air launches luxury charter service at Hanscom

Linear Air, a Lexington-based company, announced Monday that it has launched
luxury charter service from Hanscom Field in Bedford to nearly 200 cities in the
Northeast and Mid-Atlantic part of the country.
The air charter company is targeting business travelers, especially those traveling in small teams. The company is charging $750 an hour for use of its aircraft, an eight-seat Cessna Caravan.
Linear Air expects to add jet planes to its fleet starting in 2005.
The company said it is also planning to begin offering private weekend service to Cape Cod, Nantucket and Martha's Vineyard on Friday, Aug. 6.
