Boston Herald -- Letters to the Editor
June 25, 2003

It's ironic that in the process of condemning opposition to Hanscom expansion, the Herald poses as a defender of Logan area residents ("Federal Express delivery at Hanscom," June 23). In fact, the Herald editorial page has been aggressively promoting Massport's quest to force a new runway on Logan's unwilling neighbors.

Many of us who are opposed to more noise and air pollution around Logan recognize your strategy as Massport's "divide and conquer" approach. Hanscom neighbors and Logan neighbors are all intended victims of an out-of-control, unaccountable agency--Massport.
